You'll hear stories of the natural environment, flora and fauna (and some surprising local history!) as they wander along the river's edge, through tranquil casuarina forest and via village streets and tracks with binoculars handy for a closer look at the abundant birdlife. Likely, they'll also see kangaroos and eastern water dragons (and fish jumping in the river). They'll also visit a favourite fishing spot with fabulous views over the river, ideal for photos reflecting the riverside trees and bush. Bushfire update Much of the lovely riverside walk was untouched by the 'Black Summer' fires of 2019/20, but sadly, most of the Casuarina forest was burnt. These days, the bush is regenerating and there is an abundance of birdlife around again. They will share stories of that challenging bushfire season with you on this unique guided walk.
