Surrounded by tall blue gums, this large campground is a great spot for the whole family to escape if you have a 4WD vehicle. It's close to the city, yet so peaceful it feels like a million miles away.

Set up camp on the large grassy area and head off to explore the surrounding bush by foot. Go mountain bike riding on the Mount Yengo loop trail or explore the 4WD trails through rugged valleys.

Or, if you just want to take it easy, simply sit back, relax and enjoy this remote setting. You might even be lucky enough to get a visit from the local wombats and wallabies in the area while you're taking in the scenery.

At night, get cosy, swap stories and toast marshmellows by the campfire.
