Their guides will lead you through the mansion, sharing fascinating insights into its history and architecture. Public guided tours are available twice daily on weekdays at 11am and 2pm, and three times daily on weekends at 11am, 12pm, and 2pm.

Spanning nearly 14 acres, Rippon Lea Estate’s garden holds national significance. The estate is home to a variety of beautiful trees, expansive lawns, a picturesque lake, a lookout tower, and an orchard featuring historically significant fruit varieties. Discover the charming archery hut, boat house, and tennis pavilion, which offer glimpses into the leisure activities of Rippon Lea’s past residents. At the heart of the garden, you’ll find a magnificent fernery—the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. During this guided walk, you’ll learn about the estate’s development and hear fascinating stories about how the lives and fortunes of its owners have shaped it. The garden is meticulously maintained by a Head Gardener, a dedicated team of five gardeners, and a group of passionate volunteers.
