1-hour Horse Ride - Bushland Trail
There is nothing quite like getting out, and exploring nature and what better way to do so than from the truly unique perspective, mounted upon one of our beautiful, gentle and well-cared-for horses. Leave your worries behind for 60 minutes as you ride through bushland and farmland in the breathtaking Hunter Valley. This experience is welcome to beginners and groups. Minimum age is 10 years.
30 Minute Horseback Family Bush Trail Ride
"A saddle is the best seat in the house" Horse riding with us in the Hunter Valley is a must do experience! Experience the beauty and feel of horses on our 30-minute bush ride. Guaranteed to leave you wanting more as you meander through bush and forest tracks. Enclosed footwear must be worn. Minimum age 6 years - Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by at least 1 paying adult amongst the group. (For example, 5 children may go riding as long as they have at least 1 adult to accompany them) Their 30 minute horse ride is perfect for families as the instructor(s) will lead the younger children on foot. No need to leave Mum or Dad behind to mind the younger children! This is a group ride at walking pace. Strict weight restriction 110kg. This is for the welfare of the horses.
Rise and Shine - 75 Minute Horse Ride
"Wake up and Giddy Up" Jump out of bed and into the saddle on our Ride and Shine horse ride in the Hunter Valley. Relax as the day around you comes to life while you meander through bushland and farmland and enjoy the beautiful views to the Broken Back Range. Beginners and groups welcome. Minimum age 10 years. Strict weight limit of 110kgs. This is for the welfare of our horses. This is a group ride at walking pace only. Subject to availability. Availability will be confirmed on booking request. No discount vouchers applicable.
45 Minute Horse and Carriage Tour
Our 45-minute horse drawn carriage ride will take you through local backroads with breathtaking views of vineyards, mountains and farmland. See sights that you would not normally get to see aboard your comfortable horse-drawn carriage. Feel the fresh air in your face as our team of heavy horses takes you on a scenic journey. Children must be accompanied by an adult This tour departs the Hunter Farm & Adventure Centre, 917 Hermitage Rd, Pokolbin (inside Hunter Valley Resort, follow the signs to The Farm) We can cater for up to 42 Participants at any one time.
Clip Clop One Stop Tour
This group tour will give you a taste of Pokolbin via horse and carriage. Breathe in the fresh air as you take in the sights aboard one of our comfortable carriages, as we cruise through vineyards and farmland on our dedicated private track, directly to the front door of the iconic Pokolbin Estate Vineyard, where your tasting will include a wine paddle with a selection of their finest wines accompanied by local chocolate. The kiddies haven't been forgotten...they will get their own juice and Lolly tasting! Perfect for those who have a busy Hunter Valley schedule but want to experience some of the best the valley has to offer. Departs from 426 McDonalds Road Pokolbin (behind the Wine House) 10am and 1.30pm daily.
Harvest the Hunter - Wine & Produce Tour
Our Harvest the Hunter Horse and Carriage Wine Tour is a unique way to experience the Hunter Valley with its beautiful scenery and award-winning wine and produce. If you want to fit as much into your visit to the Hunter Valley as you can, this is the perfect tour - it runs for 3 hours and includes tastings at 3 venues, you'll never want it to end! The venues we visit are dependent on availability and may include Pokolbin Estate Winery, Tamburlaine Organic Wines, Vamp Lisa McGuigans Wines, Sobels Wines, Pokolbin Village Smelly Cheese Shop and the Pokolbin Chocolate Shop. Most of our venues provide our groups with private sit-down tastings where you will learn about the processes involved in making these beautiful wines. Enjoy the clean country air as you are taken through local backroads and vineyards from one tasting experience to another by team of our beautiful heavy horses and some of the best tour guides in the Hunter Valley.
75 Minute Sunset Horse Ride
"Ride off into the Sunset" Our sunset horse ride through bushland and farmland in the beautiful Hunter Valley will be the perfect start to the end of your day. Take in the sights and sounds as the local fauna come out to dine and be mesmerised by the sunset over the Broken Back Range. Duration is 75 minutes. Beginners and groups welcome. Strict weight limit of 110kgs. This is for the welfare of our horses. Minimum age is 10 years. Children under the age of 13 years MUST be accompanied by a paying adult. No discount vouchers are applicable. This is a group ride at walking pace only. Group size can be up to 20 riders - or you are wanting a ride just for your own group please book our Private Sunset Ride.
