2340 Frankston - Flinders Road
Bittern Victoria 3918

From the heart of Somerville, with its cafes, bakeries and shops, this trail travels along the service road beside Frankston-Flinders Rd until it crosses Deanswood Drive and becomes a dedicated path. Through the town of Tyabb the path continues alongside Frankston-Flinders Rd to the north of Hastings past the Bluescope Steel Mill and finishing at Graydens Road. This part of the trail links the inland section of the Bay Trail to the first part of the Western port coast section in Hastings.

This trail leads straight through Hastings, covering much of the foreshore and also passing the Westernport Marina. This is the first section of the Westernport Bay encountered on the Western Port Bay Trail and makes for a scenic trip through Hastings. Starts at the Frankston-Flinders Road and Graydens Road intersection with an urban footpath, leads into the reserve along the foreshore at Hastings with Mangroves on the edge of the water, passes the Westernport Marine and heads inland along the edge of the Warringine Park, finishing where Frankston-Flinders Road meets with Stony Point Road.

This large section of the Mornington Peninsula Bay Trail traverses from the township of Bittern, out to Somers and then straight into the heart of Balnarring. These quiet Westernport towns are beautiful examples of the more peaceful side of the Mornington Peninsula. Starts at South Beach Road in Bittern and follows Sandy Point Rd back towards Balnarring. This trail finishes at Frankston-Flinders Road in the heart of Balnarring.
