Walking Tours of Daylesford
Daylesford Town Walk starts inside the Daylesford Visitor Information Centre most Fridays and Saturday. Tours go for 1.5 hours and cover approximately three to four kilometres of Daylesford. The pace is gentle but there are some hills. There are scheduled times however other times available by pre-arrangement – 24 hours notice usually required. Please bring good walking shoes and comfortable clothing suitable for the season, hat, sunscreen, umbrella and in winter bring warm comfortable clothing – hat and scarf is recommended. Price includes access to key sites and buildings on the walk plus entry to the Daylesford Museum, after the walking tour during the weekend, public and school holidays opening hours. To maximise your enjoyment each group size is kept small with a maximum of 25 people, so bookings are essential. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier for tours to start on time.
Daylesford Walk Talk Forage and Feast: Foodie and History Walking Tour
This small group gourmet walking tour, inspired by famed Italian and French tours, begins at the local Daylesford Sunday market during the height of the summer harvest. With your local experienced tour guides from Alice's Journeys, enjoy a curated introduction to local growers and producers, who supply many of their finest restaurants. You will taste and collect samples of their fresh produce before embarking upon a spirited exploration of the culinary highlights that lie on Daylesford's doorstep at Wombat Hill. You will grab coffee, refreshing Hepburn Springs Mineral Water, artisan baked goods and handmade chocolates. Sharing the culinary themed stories of mineral water, macaroni and bullboars, that represent the region's food history, this tour enters secret, unknown historic buildings. The tour includes a stunning selection of locally sourced delicacies for brunch in one of the town's famed venues with local winebeer / coffee . The tour culminates at the home of award-winning Hepburn Distillery for tour and gin tasting. Tote Bags provided.
